Gorgeous spot, albeit a bit busy. Great for a swim followed by a picnic on the rocks.
Easy to reach and nice quick warm up for other more authentic and demanding waterfall hikes. Had been quite rainy when we were ther so the water was brown
We enjoyed our visit to chute 2. Nice walk down a sensible path and able to get good pics as not too many people there at the time. Did not attempt walks to other chutes.
Too many people. Did not stop!
Little bit harder to reach it but a awesome place with no much turists!
Hired 2 double kayaks from Kristal at a pretty good price of €20 pp for 4 hours. This was sufficient time for a trip to Pigeon Islands. We rowed around both of the islands (don’t do this unless you are proficient because it’s pretty tough round the back). We also snorkelled at the sandy beach, the stony beach and the rocky beach (latter only accessible on foot from the stony beach). Much of the coral is dead but it is regenerating and beautiful. Wonderful fish also. Definitely worth doing.
relaxation assured
Beautiful beach black beach, impressively wide for Guadaloupe and surrounded by palm trees and nature. The entrance in the water is smooth, with the depth of the water growing gradually. One of the nicest beaches on the island.
Great place to relax , busy at the weekend, with locals and tourists alike
Magical place ... but only once you find it. Google maps brings you to the gardens at Valombreuse. Instead, follow the signs to the cassava farm and continue straight until you reach the ford (where people were washing their cars!). Park there and follow the path. It’s quite an adventure. The path becomes very overgrown and you occasionally have to go into the river. There are a few orange dots to guide you but not many. If you persevere you will be rewarded with a refreshing swim in a stunning canyon.
